Cathy started offering therapy lessons very early in her teaching career
( about 30 years ago). These lessons have always been offered with gratitude and knowledge of the power, the effects and magic that horses and riding can have of people of all ages and needs.
Cathy gives lessons and training to those interested in becoming therapy instructors/ assistants or volunteers at a reduced rate or free.
In 2014 a group of volunteers and staff started KARAT at Corner Stone Farm.
Currently :
Corner Stone Farm KARAT lessons through Cathy, offers safe therapeutic lessons currently to 10-18 clients. She offers accessible pricing to those who would find it too expensive to pursue otherwise. ( 6 clients )
These sponsored spaces are limited by the donations and financial restrictions Cathy has.
The Program is also dependant on the people willing to volunteer their time and help in the actual lessons. ( you can also donate gift cards to thank the volunteers)
Every Donation goes to the therapy horses and the lesson spaces offered for free or discounted rates.
In acknowledgement of your support we can offer your business or you personally space on the web page to tell others of your sponsorship. You can also donate anonymously.

Veterinary care
Vaccinations are approx. $180.00 a year Vet bills for general maintenance of joint health and breathing for chico is 60.00 a month.
Chico is a very exceptional guy. You would be welcome to come and meet him. We can always ask a client if they are comfortable with you watching him in action too.
So far he has helped approx. 200 children with various issues in the areas of speech and self confidence , core strength and planning strategies. He is turning 19 year old this spring, He has been with Cathy since he was 6 yrs old.

Murphy is also a double winner
who is also used in the regular riding program to keep him fit and mentally healthy for the use in therapy is another exceptional individual. He is especially good as assisting people with Stress/ emotional disorders and PTSD Clients.
He is also very patient with our volunteers
